The whole construction area includes the terminal area, the loading area, the port access road, the vessel parking area, the container yard.

Background

This is an important freight facility and a crucial link in the supply chain. The existing HPS lamps installed many years ago were failing to provide adequate lighting levels, and were affecting overall visibility and productivity. Nightshift personnel had to rely on in-built mobile equipment lights and auxiliary lights, which delayed tasks and increased eye fatigue.

Solutions

Considering the height of the poles and the operationally disruptive nature of installing and maintaining lights, the EPC company needed a reliable solution that would ensure uninterrupted operations for years without need for maintenance, The Port has collaborated with an Chinese advanced manufacturer SUREALL LED Lighting for a large lighting upgrade in the port facilities, SUREALL performed a lighting audit and created a comprehensive lighting design. As a part of the project scope, SUREALL has replaced over 560 sets light fittings for more reliable, efficient and environment-friendly LED luminaires. In order to meet the primary objectives of augmenting the illuminating levels, improving safety and enhancing hazard perception around the port facilities, several kinds of industrial-grade flood light, street light and emergency light were selected to provide engineered specifically to deliver years of reliable operation in the harshest conditions.

The Port has demonstrated the creative and technical capabilities of the color-changing lighting system.

Every light fitting of the SUREALL has been engineered to serve a particular function. Its shape and size purposefully designed to allow easy retro-fitting onto existing pole and mounting. Unlike many other LED luminaires used in port lighting systems, SUREALL light fittings are designed not to exceed high temperatures, planned to ensure dust or dirt does not bake onto the optical surfaces and can be easily cleaned and high pressure washed to bring it back to pristine optimal operating condition. SUEALL offered industrial flood lights AHB-A series to illuminate the large space for the terminal area, industrial flood light AHB-B series for the loading area to make sure the loading machines to work stably within 24 hours, industrial street light for the port access road with high lumens output and features maintenance free, industrial flood lights and industrial emergency light AEG series for the vessel parking area to guide the vessel to packing precisely by order of port management system, industrial high bay lights for the container yard to withstand the rainy, sunny, snowy weather with no failure.
